Local communities are a great way to engage with people of diverse background. Are you perusing a career in community services or already having a degree qualification in Social Work, Youth Work or a related discipline?

Are you interested or have skills in:

  • Demonstrate experience in successfully engaging young people and/or families
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and implement appropriate community engaging programmes like, multi-cultural events, Coffee connect among NDIS support workers
  • Proven ability work collaboratively with other agencies and services to achieve well being outcome in the community
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Monitor relevant mental health policy and reforms initiatives that may impact on the delivery of services to people from refugee backgrounds.
  • Support the development of resources that support project members in the delivery of the project objectives.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external to progress the project in line with project goals and objectives.

Volunteer- Mandatory Documents Required

If you would like to volunteer with us at Mi Smart Life, kindly send all the documents listed below


Following are two categories 

  • A. Category 1 – Volunteer only 
  • If you just intend to volunteer only with Mi Smart Life.
  • B. Category 2- Volunteer + Employment
  • If you intend to work with us as an employee after volunteering.


Please send the following mandatory documents as early as you can.

  • Category – 1 (volunteer only) 
  • Resume
  • Relevant qualification(s): certificate and transcripts
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC – Employee or Volunteer) – receipt can be accepted
  • Current Police Check (no older than 6 months)
  • Driver Licence (front and back) with the expiry date
  • Vaccine Details – Date of first, second dose, booster dose and Certificate Generation Date. Also kindly mention the name of the vaccine applicable



  • Category – 2 (Volunteer + Employment)
  • International Police Check, if 
  • Australian Passport or Visa with work rights
  • training available at: https://www.health.gov.au/resources/apps-and-tools/covid-19-infection-control-training)
  • Car Registration details (Copy)
  • Car Insurance details (Copy)
  • TFN Declaration Form (Attached)
  • Banking & Superannuation Details (Form Attached)
  • Current First Aid Level 2 (less than 3 years old) ]
  • Current CPR (less than 12 months old)
